I just picked up a top of the line PC circa 2005, with a Resarator 1.
I read a ton of shit, and it seems 150-200 watts is the limit of the Zalman.
It is pretty, and I like it. I don't really care about pointing a fan on it to help with cooling, but if an Evo will cool better regardless then I don't want to mess with it.
I haven't ever water cooled, other than ages ago with the original Koolance cases, but in my head, the resarator should provide steady temps, and be better if I only am concerned with the cpu.
It will be a moderate pain in the ass to gut the system the Zalman is on, and I don't really want to do it if it's a waste of time.
I would actually be trying to cool an fx 6300, but I intend on disabling cores to max out my overclock. it's 95 watts stock with 6 cores, and if I can get upwards of 5ghz I will run it on 2 cores.
