i was wondering what i would need in order to connect my ps2/xbox to my comp and use that instead of an actual full sized tv. i plan on leaving the 2 consoles in my room, and prefer not to have to unplug/replug the video cable wires to swap console playing. i prob will be needing something that will let me connect the red/white/yellow wires. ive been hearing some things about transfer rates being too slow on certain types of devices like things that connect through usb or something? someone please verify if this is true. also, i dont know what the price ranges of these things are so, if someone could please give me a range of good prices and average, that would be much appreciated. thanks.

ps: not sure where the most appropriate place to put this thead is so i decided to drop one here. sorry for the many reposts.

Do you intend to capture video of your console? If not I hightly recomend investing in an X2VGA for the Xbox. It will give you HDTV quality on your CRT.

no i dont intend on capturing video or recording, just to play consoles at maximum quality on crt/future dell 2005fpw lcd monitor. the thing you sent me with that neoya x2vga, it only covers the xbox. i need something that would be willing to accept both my ps2 and xbox. not just one of them over the other.

There are some that will work with both, but how many PS2 game support 480p output? The Xbox looks soo much better on an X2vga that it would be worth getting one for it an getting a vid captrue card for the PS2. www.vdigi.com has a device that you can use with any 480p/720p device. Xbox, game cube, PS2, Prog Scan DVD player, etc.

I don't suggest it. I have an ATI Tv Wonder Pro -- I hooked my PS2 up to it and it was a dissapointment. There was a very large delay which made fast paced games hard to play.
