Request: Make me some Circles!!!

aight i'm gonna make holes at the back of my case but i want them to be perfect cuz i'm anal like that i'll be using them to make holes for 2 80mm fans side by side so i'll need the dimensions to be. i'll just print it out and drill over it ...

160mm width / 80mm height / Circles = 10mm big and please align them!!!

resaon i'm asking cuz i don't have AUTOCAD or whatever to make it exact? yes, poor me so help out if u got the right software and time paint just can't cut it out

example: plz no circles at the outer/middle areas cuz i need that area to screw my fans

You want 10mm diameter circles arranged in a staggered pattern in a rectangle 160mm wide X 80mm high?

Let me know ... I can do it in AutoCAD but I don't know how to get a 1:1 scale format that you can print ... if I export it for the web I don't know if it will be scaled or not. I'm worried that if you print it it will be larger / smaller than 1:1.

aw it's ok bro i been thinking over about what ppl said about just getting a holesaw and i think its a better idea = better airflow

You want a nice hole saw that works on a drill?????

Go to Lowes.....buy yourself the Lenox 76mm one piece hole saw (bimetal)

This baby works with a standard 3/8" drill and will cut through standard steel case material like butter. It comes ready to go with a pilot bit on the shank. You will of course need some smaller metal bits to be able to drill holes for the fan screws.

Ive used mine over and over, still beautifully sharp. Put a little oil on the surface to reduce friction, it does smoke like crazy though. The oil also helps to contain the shavings.

I think it would work much nicer than trying to drill a bunch of small holes in the case. Youd need a drill press to do that the right way and 10mm would be kind of big anyway. You can buy some nice fan grill covers instead.

Trust me, the Lenox is the way to go and I think it cost me 17 dollars.

heres what you do, export to web and print it, then measure some point of reference

THEN

say its off 2mm too big, highlight the whole drawing and type the command wblock then adjust the block scale accordingly, then re export and you are done!
