Request for Dell PSU upgrade advice...

I'm in the process of trying to extend the service life of my Dell XPS Dimension Gen 2 desktop. Recently I upgraded my video card to a VisionTek x1950 Pro AGP 8x. At first it seemed to work fine, but then I started noticing graphic defects when running 3D games (many of them not just one). After some poking around, I decided that the Dell supplied PSU may be too marginal to support that card. So now I'm thinking about upgrading my PSU.

It seems like the XPS Dimension Gen 2 uses a proprietary PSU, which for a hardware newb like me seems to limit my choices. I was able to find the Silencer 360 Dell PSU, from PC Power & Cooling's website. Interestingly, they list compatibility with all of the following Dell XPS Dimension units, but neither Dell support nor I can tell if the Dell XPS Gen 2 that i have is one of these models:

Dimension XPS B Series
Dimension XPS Dxxx
Dimension XPS Mxxx
Dimension XPS P133c MT
Dimension XPS Pro 180n
Dimension XPS Rxxx
Dimension XPS Txxx

So before I order this and try it, I'm wondering if any kind, knowledgeable people out here could tell me if they think such an upgrade would be adviseable and/or work.

Thanks in advance!
