Many members use the expression, :drool: even though there is no icon for it. I know some forums have some pretty over-the-top emoticons like ridiculous animated GIFs or smilies that take up 5 or 6 lines of text, but there are plenty of chances to use a modest drool icon (like 3TB+ RAID arrays, monster duallie systems, etc). I searched, and it has been mentioned in another request for more emoticons, but never been specifically requested itself. Besides, when you go to make a new post, there's a 4x3 grid. One of the spots is empty, and just begs for a new emoticon. Thoughts?

The last thread on emoticons bore out the fact that if you want to use any other emoticons, you can host them and use whatever you wish, but the standard ones we use are pretty much it for the foreseeable future.
 
In general, emoticons make up for lack of content.
 
I can't think of a more appropriate emoticon for the [H]. Here's another vote/request for a good drool emoticon.

Exactly. Check out the xtremesystems forums, where every new overclock is met with pages and pages of drool emoticons, beer emoticons, OMG emoticons, etc. Emoticons may have their place but they are misused by those who have nothing to add to a thread and are just looking to pad their post count.
 
I think the sway of opinion has been voiced and you can pretty much bank on what I said earlier :closed:
