1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
I'd like to be able to game, some light Photoshop (resizing and editing photos, nothing too elaborate), web browsing.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Would like to stay <$700, ...but could possibly go around $1000 if absolutely necessary.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
U.S. - IN, middle of nowhere. No retailers closer than 100 miles.
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer.
Please list out all the parts you'll need.
>550watt PS, Intel CPU, Mobo (for Intel CPU), RAM, DVD/RW, SSD, Large HD for storage.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
NZXT Source 210 Mid tower Case. ASUS VX238H monitor, EVGA GTX680
6) Will you be overclocking?
No
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1920x1080 23"
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Before the end of the year
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s?
eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
Sound, LAN
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Planning on trying the For Sale Forum for Win10 64bit

Was considering the Corsair CS650M power supply, trying to decide between either an i3-6100 Skylake (3.7GHz) or an i5-6600 Skylake (3.5GHz ?), I have no preference with a motherboard brand, (have had good luck with ASUS and MSI in the past). I prefer something that'll be good to go out of the box, not needing an immediate BIOS Flash or patch to make it run Windows. Not sure what RAM to get or how much. Its been a while since my last system build and need some assistance in choosing the parts.

For most gaming, your GTX 680 will be a huge limiting factor. Thankfully, it wouldn't take much to upgrade it significantly if you wanted, but for now the build doesn't include a GPU.

I prefer the i5 to the i3 for future proofing, though in lots of current gen or older games they will be close to equal and completely GPU dependent.

I put the 850 EVO SSD on there as a placeholder; the 960 EVO is coming out literally any day now and are going to be the thing to get. Really either the 250 GB or 500 GB would be fine.

I don't care about mobo brand either, I picked the least expensive mobo I could find with a M2 slot and USB 3.1. If you can find a cheaper board with those features, feel free to go for that one.

650W is plenty, really overkill for the build, especially if you end up replacing the GPU with something faster and significantly more efficient.

DVD burner is included, you old timer.

As for video cards, your GTX 680 will be fine for older games and likely less than acceptable for current ones, depending on the level of detail you're used to playing at. Even something like a GTX 1060 or RX 470 4GB will be twice as fast and move you into the realm of full detail 1080p gaming. Adding one of those you'd still be under the $1000 mark. If gaming is the primary focus, then the GPU is really the only place where your cash makes a difference. This $700 base build with a $200 video card is twice (or more) as fast as it is with your 680 for games. This $700 base build with a $350 video card is another 50% (or more) faster in games on top of that. The GPU is what makes the difference.
