• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I looked back and didnt see anything that mentioned this...I know its something that isnt necessary and might take too much time to do, where its not worth it. But something I think that might be able to improve the forums would be reputation points...

If you go to Slickdeals, they have reputation points where people over a certain amount of posts or reputation, can give reps to people. The reps are right under your name when you post. Shows what other people think of you and such. I just think it would be a cool idea for the [H] if you ever get any spare time.

There should be strict rules that maybe people over 1,000 or 2,000 posts can rep people. Or people with over 100 reps can give 5 reps out, 200 can give 10 reps out...etc...

You already have it on the forum?

Alright...but can you tell me why you've decided against it?

The only thing that i could see if somehow a heatware system was implemented next to the user name. Or [H] started their own reputation system since there are so many people here.

I can see this being abused easily.

How do you abuse "Or people with over 100 reps can give 5 reps out, 200 can give 10 reps out...etc..." With mods and admins and selected people being the first to give out reps? :D

Guy makes real account, gets enough rep to give rep. Creates dummy 2nd account, gives it reps with 1st account, hops in FS/FT, people think he's legit and he rips somebody off.

You want 12 year olds dinging your rep because you slammed their console of choice in a post?

The reputation thing is just a stupid waste of time IMO.

Im not saying rep, replaces heatware feedback or anything like that...And if its done that way , getting one account enough rep points to rep someone else that much, that would take at least a year or two to do...and I dont think a scammer really wants to wait a year to scam someone.

You don't get negative reps...if someone deserves negative reps then that means a ban/vacation is needed.

Like I said though, it may just be a waste of time...but I think it would just be something cool to implement. But at all means is not necessary...Im still on here browsing 24/7...

It's easily abused, it is another measure of your e-penis and fits into the same catagory as showing postcounts. It is an easy feature to moderate on a smaller forum, but with 70k++ members, we simply elect to be free of the problematic situations that will arise. As I said before, don't look to see it implimented on this board in your lifetime ;)
