Repurpose old projectors?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this (could fit in Home Theater PCs & Equipment, but doesn't deal with setting up a theatre) but anyways...

Some of my school's projectors have died over the past few years (dead pixels everywhere, other than that, they work) and now they are just lying around, doing nothing.

Anyone have any good idea on repurposing them? A home theatre wouldn't work because of the dead pixels, is there anything that would? Or are they as good as dead?

I have an old one with dead pixels that I use on Halloween for window projections.
