Reprograming the FN key to toggle?

Hello. I recently got a new keyboard and, though it feels great to type on, I'm not completely happy with the way it handles its media keys. I have to HOLD the FN key in order to activate it, instead of the key just toggling between normal F key and the media keys.

So I was wondering, is there a way to reprogram the way the FN key works with an aid of a software?

Start with KeyTweak and SharpKeys. You may be able to re-map the functions of keys.

I just tried the two programs. SharpKeys doesn't seem to recognize the FN key, which probably means it won't work with KeyTweak or any other remap softwares, either. It's really too bad.

I'm thinking the next best thing might be to just change the F1-F6 keys to media keys then use another program to toggle between F keys to media keys without using the FN key at all.

Yea... I'm going to need a program to change the hotkeys around on the fly it, it seems.

yes, you need to take your kb part, build a development board to modify the fn...

I realized that toggling the FN key might not be a good idea after all since it also controls the LED brightness with Z, X, and C keys.

And my quest to find a software that'd let me change key mapping without restarting has been fruitless, as well...
