Anyone done this ? Its summer here, and things get hot ! Wondering if its worth the hassle

I replaced my TIM on both of mine when I was on air, the stuff on there was like dried dirt, crumbly stuff that wasn't doing anything at all. I saw a drop of ~10*C on both cards when they were cool, obviously they still went up to 95* unless I turned the fan up but they were cooler at the same fan speeds.

Its pretty easy to do, you don't even need to take the top shroud off. Just undo all the screws on the back and the two on the I/O plate, and pull from the power connector area to expose the fan plug. The heatsink does not separate from the VRM/Memory plate so it all come soff together.

How much cooler exactly?

It would drop around 10*C if the fan speed was enough to keep it below 95 in the first place, say I had it at 65% constant which in FC3 was running me around 85 before, it was around 75-77 after. But if you let the fan be on auto it will still go up to 95.

I'm interested in trying this, though my card runs pretty flawlessly right now, so if it ain't broke...
