I have a 480w Antec Trueblue. Just realized the back fan is not spinning anymore. I want to replace the fan, but wondering what would be a good replacement fan.
Any suggestions?

I'd get a Sunon ball bearing type fan, i think those bad boys are made to spin forever :p

I wouldn't get a Sunon. I've had several and they are decent fans. However, they make a significant amount of bearing noise. If you care about quiet, then I would skip the Sunons.

I would recommend a sleave bearing fan because they tend to be less noisy. However, I've heard that heat tends to dry out the bearings making sleave bearing fans less than ideal for PSUs. I don't know if this is true, but it makes me hesitate to use them in my power supply.

Perhaps a low-speed Panaflo would suit you best?

things to think about - ok are you going to merely cut the wires and tape them together or solder them to the circuit board in the power supply? Cutting the wires and using tape can be ok, as long as the wires/tape do not come in contact with anything and the wires stay connected. Solder is better - if you know how - if you dont get a friend to do it who does know how - make sure the replacement fan pulls the same amps/watts as the original - don't want to damage the circuit board.
One suggestion - use a stronger fan - but run the wiring out to the lines (plug it into a molex connector don't cut the lines) - use something like the thermaltake smart fan 2 - and use the fan speed control included to adjust the noise/cooling level.
note the excess heat will always shorten the fan's life - but hopefully by then you will have replaced the psu due to it being obsolete.
