anybody know what kind of fan connector the shuttle 92mm ICE fan uses?
ive got the sn95g5, and that fan is louder than my 6x80mm antec tower case
any suggestions for a quieter or temp-controlled fan that would cool a 3200+ winchester on the ICE thing? or should i just bite the bullet and water-cool

shuttles arnt too good for cooling... just that one fan takes care of it all... you sort of need the air flow imho

The 95g5 uses p4 hold downs. But the 92m ICE actually cools very well.

Try setting the fan to medium in your bios and see if it overheats. Mine folds all day long at a mudium setting and remains right around 40c. And at medium its quieter than most PSUs.

That 4 pin fan connector is how the PWM works. Check out Bit-tech for an explanation.

cool thanks
is there any way one could wire say a panaflo rpm-sensing fan into a 4 pim plug like that for better cooling?
and quitetness too
and bragging rights (FUAHAH i just replaced a fan w00t!!!)...just kidding
