I decided to upgrade my stock CPU/GPU coolers. I wanted to go with a water cooling solution,
but the price for a good one was just over $150 & I wasnt looking to spend that much.

I decided to be bold and get one of those BIG cpu coolers that can rival a decent water cooling setup.

Here is the CPU cooler I chose.

It's a Cooler Master Hyper 6 Copper Heatpipe.

I really wanted something that was bold, looked cool & this fit the bill. :cool:

I have yet to decide on the GPU cooler for my 6800NU.

I was thinking of going with a fanless heatpipe by evercool.

I am really on the fence about the fanless VGA cooler tho.. What do you guys think?
 
had one of those hyper 6 jobbies, didn't cool my p4 as good as an XP-90. plus the mounting system was crap....had to remove the mobo and screw it down from the backside, which blows cuz then you need to remove the mobo if you want to remove the cpu. hopefully the mounting scheme has been improved, otherwise i'd say skip it.
 
I would highly recommend you to add a small (and quiet) fan to the GPU cooler as fanless coolers tend to not cool as well as a faned one. Be careful when mounting something that heavy to the CPU as if you don't have everything secured properly, it can and will break the CPU/board.

prolly bc u didnt hav two tornadoes on it :p

i fully recommend the hyper 6, but as for the evercool vga cooler, id spend a little more for the zalman VF700-CU
 
I just got 2 cooldrive 6. Works well, great software comes with it too.
 
I have zalman on both my cpu and gpu, love em both and do an excellent job.. plus damn near silent.
