So a buddy of mine gave me his clapped out G5 (after he had me pick him up one at a discount from a popular retail store), something to do with the right mouse button has stopped working. I've taken it apart as far as I think I can, and I don't want to try any further for fear of breaking it. It has 2 PCBs, a larger one with the meat of the mouse (logic chip, laser assy., etc.), and the other has mostly switches on it. I need to know if taking it apart is possible without breaking the PCBs or desoldering the 12 pin connections. It looks like there are 2 different sockets that the pins go into, but I haven't been able to remove them. Would heating them up/freezing them some help?. Any help's greatly appreciated :)
