Replacement for Samsung tab pro 8.4

The screen does not respond for minutes on end and restoring did nothing to alleviate the problem. Also it will open things on its own.

I would like to fix it if possible.

If not I would want to spend $300-$400

needs to have a microsd slot.
At least 1080p screen.
8-10 inch screen
32gb memory (64gb for windows)

I do not know if I want Android or Windows.

would I be happy with a Surface 3.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. It has everything you want along with a amazing screen. I got the 8 inch version to replace a failing Nexus 7 (2013) tablet. Couldn't be more pleased.

That is a good tablet, but I think I will avoid Samsung hated touchwiz with a passion and never got an update ever. To be fair I loved the tablet after I installed nova launcher.

Oh yeah, Nova Launcher is a must. I added it to my Tab S2 and S7 Edge. Makes a big difference. There's also a useful app called Package Disabler Pro. It lets you kill all the Samsung bloatware and any other apps you don't want. Well worth the $2 price tag.
