I just got some new fans today, thermaltake smart case fan 2s to be exact, and the screws they came with are a goldish color and my case is black so I'd rather have black screws. Instead of buying black fan screws off some website and paying shipping and all that, is there a more standardized name of the screws I need that I could ask for at Home Depot or any other hardware store?

yeah, that was what i was thinking of. or u can dip them in black pant

Never seen them offered at Home Depot before. Cant hurt to take one in and ask tho. Other wise paint could be your friend.

You can go to home depot and ask for self tapping screws. I measured one I've got and its about .195" diam and .400" long, or as Kckazdude said just bring one in and ask.

But I wouldn't bother with home depot, their selection of screws tends to be rather bare, Lowes is usually better, and if you have a store in the area that specializes in screws/nuts/bolts (I do) so much the better. But I'll bet only a specialty store has any chance of carrying them in black.

You probably can get balck replacements, but coloring them with a marker is probably a lot easier.

Use Socket Head Cap Screws with nuts on the inside. They'll be black and add a nifty industrial look to your case. Theres all kids of different fastners you could use you just have to go look arround for them. Like it was said before Home Depot doesn't ave the reatest selection and you'd be better off going somewhere that specializes in fastners. If you get desperate enough go check out www.mcmaster.com they have all kinds of stuff.
