Replacement fans are the same model but different?

Ordered some new replacement fans for my Alienware laptop off of eBay. Received the fans today and go to install them only to find out the screw holes are way off.

I compare the model numbers on the original fans to the new ones...letter for letter the exact same model...infact everything on the stickers are the exact same but the fans are totally different.

For one the holes are off, the new ones have twice the number of fins, and the fan housing is metal on the new ones...plastic on the old.

Anyone have any idea of what gives here??? How can the EXACT model be COMPLETELY different?
