The fan in my HTPC is really starting to get on my nerves. It is fine when movies are going but when its quite it really its loud. I am not in front of it now but i think its a corsair 650, i thought it was a 80mm fan. Any suggestions for a replacement,a way to adjust the speed or dampen the sound?

make sure to use a fan with a high MTBF , inside a PSU cooling is lot more crucial than your case; so a fan in there should not have sleeve bearing; best to go with some liquid bearing as the Sony
