My friend replaced the heat sink on his g4 ti4200 128mb; and when doing so a little thing fell off; it is labled c105.

i have another geforce 32mb card and was wondering if i can take it from that.

i have a pic of where it fell off and later i will have a pic of what fell off looks like

If you're lucky, you can try putting a little bit of rear window defogger on the contacts, pressing it together, and gluing around the outside while holding it on. Hopefully it will all dry well and make good contact. it will require some degree of luck though.

Sorry, I am just laughing at the "little thing fell off" quote. Real bummer. If you get it fixed will ya post your road to success?

It's a capacitor, did he recover the part that fell off? If not take a picture of it, with description and Email NVidia support and the OEM that made it, asl both what value the cap is. Then go to Digikey.com and buy the same as a replcement, and solder it back on.
