I am wondering...
I have a dvd disc that is cracked. I bought the movie brand new at the store. Is there some way that you can request a disc replacement from the disc production factory?
I mean when you buy a disc the $20 is mostly for the cost of licensing the movie. I am pretty sure that the actual physical production of the disc and box cost probably 50cents if not less since they manufacture in hundreds of thousands units.
Does some policy like this even exist? I remember some game company would replace a cd if you scratched, cracked, or damaged the disc. You just had to pay the return shipping and mail them your original disc that was broken.
Anything like that exist for DVD's?
I really dont want to have to pay another $20 for it. Another question since i bought the movie and busted the disc.....wouldnt it technically be legal if i borrowed a copy and burned it? I mean i did pay for the movie in the first place....
