Repairing Outlook 2003 .pst file

Outlook 2003, the calendar had a lot of important dates my soon to be wife had recorded on and now it's blank.

I know about scanpst, is there anything better to use here? I've tried scanpst from outlook 2003, is 2007 worth trying as well?

Any pointers would be appreciated.

did it autoarchive them into a different pst?

Also Outlook supports multiple calendars. Is it possible that a new calendar was created and is now not showing the original calendar?

I don't think it's been archived, the email is all still there from long long ago. I will double check to see if there is an archive.pst or not.

Did scanpst not fix it?? I find that's actually the best program.
