My 23 apple cinema display stopped working - no picture or led light indicator. I have tried several "fixes" online and even tried one that suggested to change a transistor voltage regulator.also the psu is external on a power brick which I believe is okay. Has anyone fixed this before? Would a faulty inverter cause it not to power up or is the inverter just to power the backlight?

Have you actually checked the voltage on the external power brick to make sure that it acutally is working?
It's somewhat hard. The connector has really small pins to measure anything
The power brick is known to fail, and since the LED doesn't light up, it could just be the power brick.
true..hopefully the apple store can test it since i dont have access to another cinema display
