Renaming Programs

So I have a lot of Files in a particular folder on my system. I would like to rename them to something more sequential. This would allow better management of those Files.

Anyone know of a renaming program to change all the file names at the same time ?

do a batch rename!
select all the files you want to rename sequentially, right click > rename "insert file name here" and it will rename them all sequentially for you.

ex: if you typed in "File" you would have File, File(1), File(2), etc.

That's useful, but I hate the File(2) part. It's irritating. Then I hav to manually rename each one to File2 or whatever.
