Removing the cover on the socket.

Okay intel shows two different ways of removing this cover.
On their web site it shows them removing it with the latch up and using your thumb to push out on the center.

Now in one of their manuals it shows you opening up the socket, inserting the processor, then closing the socket. It then tells you to lift up on the tab that says remove.

Okay what in your opinion is the best way? Or if you have a better way to do it let me know.

Are they that hard to pop off, and anything else I should know or be extra carefull of besides the pins.

Man on intels site they make it seem if you inhale at the wrong time you will screw up the socket area :)

My manual showed the same instructions as the ones on the intel website, so I used the first method. The second method can't work since the tab will get in between the processor and the latch and prevent you from closing the socket. Or you might have a motherboard that somehow uses another tab which needs to be removed differently, hence the different instructions you see in your manual.
