removing stickers safely?

I just replaced the palmrest on my Dell Inspiron 8600 with a new one. But my Intel/winXP/and Nvidia stickers are on my old palmrest, which i would like to tranfer on to my new palmrest. I know i can just peel it off, but this would mean that the stickers would be slightly and potentially completly damaged.

Is there a method of removing stickers so that it will retain it's original appearance?
 
Try putting a little WD40 on a razor blade and just be very very careful.

A very easy to remove the stickers without damaging them is to heat them up with a hair dryer. It sounds kind of odd, but it works well, and doesn't discolor, or melt them. Just heat them up to soften up the adhesive and carefully peel them off. I usually use a razor blade to start peeling it off because you lessen the chance of wrinkling the sticker. (exacto knives work well becaue they have a pointed end)

This works well on those unwanted bumber stickers also :)
 
No way that won't damage the adhesive.
Why are you screwing around with stickers, anyway?
 
I've never known anyone that actually wanted to KEEP the stickers before. Mostly, I think stickers do horrible things to the looks of computers (and cars). I spent a long time and a lot of care (and goo-gone) taking all of the intel/ati/microsoft/toshiba stickers off of my P35, and it's better for it.
