Hey, I've got a few scratches on my plexi side panel, and wanted to know if there was any easy way to remove them. I dont want to buy another plexi panel, I just want to get rid of the scratches! Thanks.
 
tap plastics has a polish for fine scratches...... it's like $3. Rub it, then buff it.

OR just buy a new sheet for like $5-10
 
future floor polish i use it on my side panel and for the window pieces on all my models, lay you side panel on its side and poor then layer of futue over the entire thing make sure theres no bubbles then let dry DO NOT RUB IN
 
how would that work for removing scratches??? One of the scratches was on it when it shipped. Its like one inch-and-a-half area with wobbly, rounding uneven scratches all connected, and they're fairly deep, they make a noise when I run my fingernail across them. Other scratches are visible, but not deep. I want a nice, unscratched side window...and I'm gonna cry... ;)
 
aiigh this is gonna sound horrible but take same 800-1000grit sandpaper and sand the scratch all the way out then switch to 3000grit (super fine find it at a model shop) and sand it some more then apply the future it will look like GLASS

dont sand anything...it's a freaking scratch people. Put the polish on and go back and forth vigorously....it'll blend it in. Sheesh, this isn't paint with a clearcoat when you can sand it.

If you sand acrylic you fuck it up for good

yea sanding can definately help as long as its with fine grit paper...also i suggested future floor polish because it cheap and you can buy it pretty much anywhere (walmart,target,walgreens...etc)
 
Well, I'm probably just gonna use the Novus without sanding it, it should work, I read a bunch of testimonials and saw that their policy is unmistakable and plain and simple "IT WILL WORK!" well, basically it's that, so I feel pretty safe. I guess I'll try it out and tell you guys how it works, eh?
