Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
How do you remove the cover on the original Intellimouse Explorer--the dark grey and red one with the thumb buttons. The wire is frayed(sp?) and I want to try and fix it so I can use it for this laptop...People have also removed it for painting.
I painted mine black, and disassembly was a bit tricky, so take your time. There are screws under the feet. Be careful with the feet, so that they have enough glue to stick back when you are finished. I lifted mine up with an Exact-o knife. After that, it snaps apart. You'll get it if you are careful.
