Removing and Replacing Fan Connector

Can anyone here explain how or link me to a guide on how to remove and put back on the 3 pin fan connectors. I wanted to sleeve my fan. Thanks
 
With the edge of a razor blade, or very small screwdriver, lift the little tab that holds the metal terminal in place. Only lift it enough to slide the terminal out.
