that's obviously a fairly new feature... but very interesting.... doesn't look like it has any more features than the echogent, but it's worth looking into... added to my list of things to do
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
RHUB sells a Remote Support appliance. Plug it into your network and you are good to go. RHUB's TurboMeeting is fast, easy and feature-filled. We chose RHUB over Bomgar and have been very happy with our choice!
At the moment I use TightVNC as it has several features that I require that I have difficulty finding -
- runs as a service, so full logon/account switching
- works with directx/direct3d application, yes I can actually "play" games over remote (albeit very choppy) But this very useful for certain MMOs.
- free and easy to setup
I'm wondering if there is any alternatives? May consider paying if it is better.
We are talking more about apps that don't need holes put in the end users firewall. They run an app(web based or exe) and hit a button and we can log into them. No installing on the end user desktop.
ammyy.com is nice, till they black listed me for using it to much![]()
Looks interesting. Have you tried it yet?
Yeah, slow...ala logmein style molasses.
Yup it is #3 in the list top of this thread. One of the earlier ones that I found back when I started the thread.
But keep the contributions going...it's always good to maintain the list with new and current products..and input from the community is what helps the list be most effective.
looks like i just used Teamviewer for the last time today. It said I needed to upgrade to the latest version to connect to the other person and it only let me on for a few minutes and then kicked me off saying I couldn't log back in for 15 minutes. Paid version is $749 I think, not really something I want to spend to support my mother in law![]()
what don't you like about bomgar?I use UltraVNC for open-source lightweight remote work, and I prefer LANDesk as the megabucks commercial real deal. Bomgar sucks hard.
