Remote Desktop DSL Problem

I'm trying to get my remote desktop connection to work from my dsl connection. I have a static IP address. I put the modem in bridge mode and set port 3389 forwarding to the computer I would like to connect to. I'm not having any luck connecting to it. Does anyone know of something I might be missing?

That should work. I've done that on a system and it works great.

Do you have a firewall installed on the system?

If you are running the Windows Firewall you will need to configure it to allow Remote desktop connections.

the computer accepting the connection is 2003 server. I have configured everything I can think of.
