hi

i need a program that permiss me to acess other pcs by the internet. i only know the windos xp (never works), and the logmein (need to pay to tranfers archives ) .
so i want to know an remote acess program that can tranfer archives and taht is complety free.

You might first want to analyze why the XP RDC "never works," as I expect the same problem will create issues with anything else tried.

Anyway, there are many implementations of VNC available for windows. I think TightVNC is well-regarded.

However, for archive (file?) transferral, you don't want or need desktop access. You want file access. You could do this with FTP or regular Windows file sharing, either of which I would overlay with VPN. VPN is added to (a) provide secure login and (b) force an encrypted connection. It also allows multiple service access without poking extra holes in your firewall.

FTP: see the freeware index stickied in this forum. VNC is probably in there, too.
