remaking cooling setup to DD

I am currently running a asrock 939 dual sata2 mb, 4x512mb twinmoss ddr400, x1900xtx stock cooled, raptor 74 gig, seagate baricuda 120 gig, (all sata), cpu is a 939 x2 4200+ oc'd to 2.69ghz stable, cooling is a thermaltake se watercooled. All of this in a thermaltake tsunami case. I am going to be going with a d5 danger den pump, not sure of what rad- thinking the dual 120mm that ill mount on the top of my case, tdx cpu block and maze 4 gpu block all 1/2"id with tygon.
?'s i have is what rad should i go with?.... I really like the fitting setup on the thermaltake how u slide the coupling over the tube and tighten it looks way neater than zipties over barbs, how and where do u find 1/2" id fittings for these blocks that would be similar? As for resivoir im leaning twords the invotech fass-o-matic barrel tank, looks really cool mounted on top because the bubbles come up to the window... please any suggestions or help would be greatly appriciated.
 
OK... Plain and simple, for your radiator go GTstealth 240 by Hwlabs... The price is really good for such a high performer

As for your GPU block, I say go for the MCW60 (with ramsinks) by swiftech, that's just my personal preference. Get whatever you can for the cheapest, but get ramsinks!

I'd get the 7/16" masterkleer tubing, as you generally dont need any hoseclamps if you're using 1/2" barbs... It's tough to get on, but it's better and WAY cheaper than Tygon.

Um, you know that reservoir is aluminum right... That will cause some major problems if you don't properly account for galvanic corrosion... Not to mention that, in a proper WC setup, there should be NO BUBBLES! A good alternitive is the 100% acrylic 120mm fan-hole reservoir... Just cut a perfect 120mm hole at the top of your case and mount the sucker. I LOVE mine, and can supply pics if needed ;).
 
i looked through the thread and didn't find where it said that swiftech/cooltek rads are better. i'm about to purchase my wc gear but still don't know what rad to get. BI Pro, BI GTS or the swiftech 120QP.
 
I say GTS or BIP. Just a personal preference. I'm sure the swiftech's are good, but the GTS is prettier IMO.
 
ok ive decided to go with the gts 240... got one for 55$ with all the fittings. Now im pushed for room in my case, with the 240 mounted on the top outside of the case... I need to get some sort of fan setup really low noise, any recomendations?... im also looking for a good resivoir setup, i really like that bullseye style or an external on that i can mount, basically looking for something different looks cool and i can fill from easily?.
 
well just gathered up most everything for parts, did a few weeks of research or so...
list includes.
alphacool cape agb2 polished rez " mounted on back outside of case "
swiftech mcw60 vga block with bga ramsinks --- i pray pple were right and it will fit the x1900xtx
primochill ICE non conductive liquid cooling premixed, uv green
tygon anti-kink 1/2" ID tubeing ordered 7ft
danger den g 1/4" thread bards 1/2" id 2pc for rez
1/2" id re-usable clamps, i dont want to use em but got em in case i need to run clamps
2pc 1/2" gromets so i can run the tubes for rez clean outside of case.
dd- tdx waterblock
dd- d5 pump both of which ordered through dd
everything else ordered through frozencpu
I also ordered thermaltake t-type water indicator with lcd... so i can monitor water temp
black ice stealth 240 by hardware labs.. ill mount this on top of case with barbs coming into case... all of this i ordered through performancepc.com... only think is that when i ordered it kept sending me back after confirming the order to shipping option so i did it again and clicked confirm and said the same thing... emailed them so hopefuly they have some kinda of explination tommarow... Its all going in a thermaltake tsunami.
Let me know what u guys think about this setup.
Also is there someone who makes a dual 120mm shroud to cover the whole rad and fans with some type of grill on top?
 
Yes. ACRyan sells "Radgrills" which will cover the entire top of the radiator... Not a shroud but a grill. They're at frozencpu.com... Among other places.


Sounds like a good setup, I hope the primochill is good enough as a corrosion inhibitor (should be... right?) between the AL and CU in your loop ;).

That Ttype water temp guage is pretty nice, I had no idea it came in 1/2" 12mm fittings... I might have to pick one up now :). When you get it, how restrictive is it?
 
well im now down to the final pc. the rad. I was going to go with the gts 240 but now im considering going with a single 120mm style. Just wondering if im thinking in the wrong direction and the dual is wayyy worth the time in modding the case extensivly for it to look nice.... and yes when i start ill create a log book, ull see some nice work im sure. Its funny at how many times i see these log books and pples modded cases and wire management look hacked.
 
alright got ahold of them this morning and all is well. Now just thinking about placement of the rad. cant do it iside the case cause powersupply is in way. only thing i can think of is outside on top with a cple standoffs to allow air to go underneith and to be pulled through by the fans or ill have check if on back ill have enough room. Any suggestions.
