Release date for RV420..

I know it's probably been discussed to death but I can't find the exact answer as to when ATI's next gen graphic card is coming out.

Is it true or rumored that it will coming out on April 20, 2004?

It says on the front page that Best Buy COULD be doing pre-orders on May 5th. So maybe ATi will show their hand in the next week or so. At least I will be able to see benchies before preordering. I still feel stupid about the 5800 Ultra...

lol , that why I was saying a few weeks ago that no matter which card is faster a few sto.....er people will buy it for the sheer core name. I know I might one day when it's really cheap and I can make a key chain out of the core.

Might want to fix your title as I don't think they are gonna make an RV420. RV is usually reserved for the mid-to-low range chips. And I think the next one will be the RV380 which is basically a PCI-Express version of the 9600XT.

They say the R420 is gonna be out May 31st and then the XT is gonna come out after that with the 16 pipelines if i remember right...

Actually, there are times when they do ignore it, unless you are being particularly stupid.
Look up Ann Arbor Hash Bash (IIRC). My g/f goes to Umich there and mentioned that the city actually reduces the fine for pot down to about $10. It isn't exactly condoning it, but it comes close....
