any news on teh release date of teh ATI 5870's and teh 4890's? are they going to beh dx 11?
 
4890 is expected the second week of April with DX10.1. 5870 is expected in June still with DX11. If the ATI is not having issues with their 40nm process, I see no reason for it to come out around then.
 
Doesn't mean there can't be a card that supports it. Rumors say early third quarter for the RV870.
 
Honestly, nobody (not even ATI) knows when the 5870 will be released. If anybody tells you otherwise, they're lying.

That is what the rumors over the pass 6 months have been pointing towards. The latest ones I'm hearing is sometime in the third quarter. If ATI sticks to a yearly cycle, June hits that spot perfectly. I'm just hoping it comes out in June also. On top of that if ATI could dominate Nvidia in performance for a few months I don't see why they wouldn't. From the sounds of things the GT300 isn't expected until the fourth quarter.
 
I understand TSMC is having issues with their 40nm process. there may be a deal in the 5870 launch. expect an even longer delay with the GTX300 (larger chip)
