It's a 1.5" braided sleeve.

Oddly enough, this greatly reduced cool down time and temperatures. It cools down in about 25-30 seconds and idles at -54C and full load is -44C compared to -47C/-36C.
 
Well not heat protection neccisarrily, but the insulation may have in some way explained the temperature differnces? I am not sure how phase coolers even work, just trying to understand how changing the sleveing made a difference in cool down and temps. :)
 
Yeah, the insulation is about twice as thick. The yellow sleeve is just for looks. :)
