Reinstalling XP

My computer is starting to slow a little bit (mainly during boot and shutdown) so I'm thinking it's about time to reinstall XP. The only time I've ever reinstalled XP before was when I had just one hard drive. In my current setup I have three. My C: contains Windows and a few apps while my two other HDD's are specifically for games. My question is, if I reinstall Windows on my C:, will it screw up the games I have installed on the other two HDD's? Also, what's the preference: repair reinstall or fresh/clean install?

Thanks.

Dunno about the games, but about the windows reinstallation...always go for the clean one... :D

Some games will require reinstalling, some will work happily without reinstalling.

I have found Steam related stuff, Far Cry, and Quake 4 to not need reinstalling.

Go with a clean install everytime.

Game saves are stored either within the game install folder, your My Documents folder or they save to another area within your XP User Profile.
For example
C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application Data\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed\Saved Games
