I am experiencing some low GPU usage in most games, Crysis 3 was the worst but even Last light I am getting around 70-80% usage on both. not seeing crazy drops but sometimes it'll hover at 50-55 fps but the usage never hits 99%.

i have an i5 @ 4.2 ghz as well and i just assumed there shouldnt be a bottleneck.

( first time SLI )

should I have reinstalled nvidia drivers when adding a 2nd card? the bridge is connected btw.

you have to enable SLI in the NVIDIA control panel. It is off by default. Recently installed the latest drivers with my SLI and played Bf3 and it was crap. Turned sli back on and it was peaches and cream :)

Yeah first thing I did was turn it on in the control panel

those games are heavy CPU intensive and both are poorly optimized, both suffer from stuttering and heavy drop of FPS. give a little bump to your chip to 4.4 - 4.5GHZ that will compensate a bit and will not be hard with the hyper 212, that will help with the minimum frame rate drop....

it is lots of games though, sleeping dogs... everything pretty much seems to be running slower then it should, little improvements. low GPU usage as a whole.

You shouldn't need to, the drivers are all there and available so the OS should just pick up the ones that are installed and use them for the additional adapter. Also ain't nothing poorly optimized about Crysis 3, that game is just a beast on it's highest settings.
