Greetings,
I know this is the place to go when I have any real question about computers. Today i went to turn my PC on, and it’s failed to load. In stead it powered up and started using the internal speaker to do a regular beep, possibly a second apart. I remember from when I built it almost 4 years ago that it meant something along the lines of "No video card present" or "No processor present." Unfortunately I do not remember which one, or why this could have happened. Especially considering the computer ran fine 2 days ago. Any help?

First find your motherboard manual and look up the beep code. That will tell you what it THINKS is wrong with your machine. The simplest quick "fix" is to reseat your memory and video card and try starting it up again. System specs would be useful too.

I didn't even think to check the manual. For an Asus motherboard the repeated beaping means no DRAM present. So I blew it clean and its working now, it was just PMS'ing because I havn't cleaned it this month.
