Hello all. I have an Athlon64 FX-53 :D , socket 940 :( , and it requires Registered memory. I started off with 512mb of the cheapest Crucial stuff I could find, and then upgraded to 2 512mb sticks of OCZ PC3200 Registered in their 1gb dual channel kit. Now, with more money to dump into my pc :D , I can't seem to find any more of the registered 1gb kits from OCZ. It looks like they have been discontinued. I want to add another gig of memory, will any brand work alongside the OCZ as long as it's regeistered and has the same 2-3-2-6 latency?

Yes, but there could be complications. Such as pushing your memory speed back to Drr333 or forcing you to run in t2

personally, i'd go for 2x1gb.. but registered ram isn't really a good buy, especially since you're kinda running on an old platform, and a lot of things are about to switch over to ddr2
