Refurbished TV ok?

Looking to get my kid a TV for his room.

Best deal seems like 43" 4 series TCL for the features I want but for $10 more there are refurbished 5 series with HDR and all those extras.

Is getting a refurbished TV ok?
 
It's a risk. You may get a perfect unit, you may get a unit with a couple minor issues or you may get a lemon. I once bought a refurbed TV and it had some pretty bad blacklight bleed. Wasn't a deal breaker but was annoying in some scenes.
