Refurbished Studio 15 vs something else?

A buddy of mine is looking to buy a new laptop, and he'd like to spend less than $500. The most demanding thing he'll be doing with it would be the occasional video editing, but even that wouldn't be anything too fancy. I found a refurbished Dell Studio 15 for $499 that I thought looked pretty good, but I wanted to get some second opinions first. The Dell I was looking at has the following specs.

CPU: AMD Turion 64 Dual Core - 2200
HDD: 320GB SATA 5400RPM
RAM: 4GB
Optical Drive: DVD/RW
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3200

If anyone can suggest something better than that for less than $500, I'd greatly appreciate it.
