refurbished lcd's?

What is the general risk involved in buying refurbished lcd's as opposed to other components?
 
Well you won't get anything "perfect" that's for sure.
I'm sure anything that is refurbished probably has more than a few dead pixels, or scuffing on the screen etc. Just a guess...
 
Refurbished can mean one of three things. First one is the item is used, but has been tested to be working fine, two it can be used and may have issues, or it can be a used/defective item from the start but fixed. I refurbish laptops for a living and they can range from being used but in like-new shape, or peiced together from parts.
