"Refurbished" A64 FX51

It's a return that has been checked out and found to be good. They can't sell it as new since it has already been sold once and 'used' doesn't sound too hot. It is most likely a chip that didn't overclock well, someone changed their mind on components and returned it. or bought the wrong part.

No they didn't not check the part. Someone returned it for some reason and they just are re-selling the part hopign that it is good. No gaurentees.... Newegg should really not call it refurbished cuz it isn't

Newegg.com does not test any product, including refurbished items. Refurbished components are therefore only tested by the original manufacturer. Due to the varying quality of manufacturer testing, YOU ARE TAKING A RISK BUYING REFURBISHED PRODUCTS. Refurbished items are OPEN BOX products that contain components that have previously been owned by other clients and returned to Newegg.com. These products are sold considerably under cost.

However...

Newegg.com guarantees all refurbished products for 15 days. CPUs, however, must be returned within 7 days for refund.

Just got mention.. You will probly need a HS fan on whichever you get so get the OEM if you want it...

Please do not be upset or surprised if a refurbished product does not contain any cables, manual, software, drivers, fan, et al. Newegg.com will not send you any missing accessories, even if it is an essential part.

Quotes are from Newegg.com FAQ section.
