refurbed x800 pro problems

i bought a refurbed x800pro from newegg and everytime i hook it up to the monitor, it shows up with all moving white squares. I know it's probably defective because it's refurbed, but is there any other thing it might be? Also, I hooked up a new x700pro and it works perfectly. any suggestions would be great.
 
I agree, bad refurb...

I bought my IC7-G refurbished from newegg, and it had a bad onboard NIC. I had a 9800Pro refurb and that too went bad after a few months.
