So, I decided to play around with refreshrates on my monitor, a KDS 19'' CRT, and that's about all i know about it. I run in 1600x1200, and wanted to change it up to 75hz, but in the thing it has a check box that says ' display refresh rates that this monitor is capable of only' or something like that, and the only one is 60, but when you uncheck that box you can raise it to 75, and can change to 75.

is it bad for my monitor to run it at 75?

whats the horizontal scan rate of your KDS 19"? to have 75Hz vertical refresh rate at 1600x1200 resolution, the horizontal scan rate must be atleast 94.5KHz. check you monitor's manual.
