Refresh rate support

Are there any panels of any type that can display 24fps video smoothly? Are there any that can display 23.976fps video?

This would be from a media player via HDMI. I am wondering whether this is possible or whether I should just forget it and just purchase because I might be placing unrealistic requirements on panels.

I have seen that Asus quotes a range of supported refresh rates for some of it's panels but so does Philips on their BDM3270QP and if what people have said is correct, that cannot function at those frequencies.

Does anyone know what is correct or can name any panels that can do this?

I hope this can help narrow my choices as I desperately need a new monitor very soon.

Thanks Polar_Fox I will take a look but the Eizo prices are a bit out of my price range. However I will check to be certain but the ones that I have looked at so far are very expensive.

I know that the Asus PB258Q (23~80 Hz(V)) & Asus PA328Q (24~76Hz(V)) support these frequencies or ranges but I do not know whether they can cope with 23.976 from a media player. I have an old CRT which plays perfectly with no visible glitches from RGB Scart but not tested so far via HDMI. Therefore there are a lot of unknowns to me ATM.

BTW have you sorted out your monitor yet? Isn't having such high ideals such a drag. I know all too well :(

I think I'm going to buy a GB-R 1200p or 1440p display with hardware lut. Nec or eizo. I was about to get a u2715h, but the store it was available at declined me plugging it in and checking it out before buying.
