Hi guys

I placed the order for NEC 1760NX LCD....just wondering if i need to apply the Reforce patch to force the refresh rate, just like what I've always did to my CRT monitor ??

LCD's don't have refresh rates. so just run the monitor at the resolution the manufacturer suggests.

for example: 1280x1024@60hz. that is your setting:)

If running in DVI most LCD's force a 60mzh rate which cannot be changed. Remember, DVI is pure digital and the picture quality will almost certainly be better then LCD analog at say 75mzh.

This setting is not as crucial for LCD's as CRT's.

Obviosuly you don't know anything about LCDs. They DO have refresh rates.

I use the refresh lock built into my Nvidia driver panel.

I can tell a difference when my LCD is at 60hz and when it's at 75.

yes the pixels do get turned on and off, but the refresh rates aren't the same as a CRT, that is my point
