Hello,

I want to reformat my C:\ drive (which is in Raid 0) but I also have 2 WD640 hard drives that I spanned into 1 volume (F:\). My question is, if I reformat my C:\ drive, will I be able to still read my spanned F:\ drive afterwords?

Thanks.

I just wanted to make sure that Windows 7 would still recognize the spanned drives after reformatting or if it is effected in anyway.

Yes, it will recognise the spanned drive after reinstalling windows. ive done it before.

Awesome. Thanks for the good news. I was afraid I would lose my data.

Thanks!

IIRC, RAID implementations typically store some information about the drive's role in an array in the last sector on disk, or something like that.
