I just installed W2k over Win98 on my computer and now everything is screwy. I want to reformat my HD, but I can't get to a bloody command prompt. The only one I can get to, it loads windows in safe mode before taking me to it. I see that that on bootdisk.com there is a way to make a boot disk, but it takes 4 floppies, so I don't think that is for what I want.

Anyone have any ideas?

Are you trying to delete the system partition? If so, there's no way to do it while your running an OS off it. I always repeat this, but everyone should own a copy of Norton Ghost. It has an app called Gdisk that is the best disk partitioning software ever made. See if you can find it or something similar to it, like Partition Magic, and kill the partitions.

The quickest, easiest way is to boot from the 2K CD and delete the partitions that way. It's one of the steps in the setup.

Excellent. Thank you guys. It was slightly confusing because I had to select the Install Windows option, then I had to select which HD to install it on, and the hit ESC to back out. I was expecting too much I guess lol. Anyways, thanx again.

I´d download Seagate Seatools, it works with all brands/models of hard disks, it wipes/repartitions/reformats in a very FAST way, installing a disk could never be so easy, it leaves the disk ready for the operating system of your choice :D

Good Luck
