I got attacked my some hacker tonight and realize I should reformat ASAP.

Well... when I'm installing from my Windows XP disk the initial blue screen comes up saying it's loading all the stuff from the CD basically and then I get the error message as follows

--------------

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart you computer, press F8 and select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF748E0BF, 0xF78DA208, 0xF78D9F08)

*** pci.sys - Address F748E0BF base at F7487000, DateStamp 3b7d855c

I have no idea what would cause this. I'm overclocking my cpu some some BIOS settings are changed, could setting them back to defaults solve this issue? It doesn't really make sense to me. Please, I'd be grateful for any advice. Thanks.

(I'm not sure if this is an appropriate forum for this but I'm really looking anywhere for help)

How do you know you were attacked by a hacker?

Anyway, never try to install an OS on an overclocked system. I would turn off the overclock and rerun the setup, and see where it goes from there.
